Thanksgiving

I have so many things to be thankful for. I'd just like to share a few.

1) I am thankful for my Savior, whose birth we'll be celebrating soon.

2) I am thankful for a wonderful time with family and friends during Thanksgiving vacation. We went to South Dakota and had a great time with my parents, sister, and friends, Grady, Jill, and Cody. The food was wonderful. Fun was had by all. And it totally warmed my heart to be with family and to share this moment in our lives with them.

3) I am thankful we had safe and stress-free travels to and from SD. Aside from discomfort related to my ever-growing belly and ever-shrinking bladder, all was good.

4) I am thankful for my beautiful sister who turned 22 on Tuesday. WooHoo! She's amazing. She surprised me with the most beautiful baby shower on Saturday while we were home. Seriously! The decorations were precious, the invitations were incredible, the games were so much fun, the food was awesome (thanks, Mom), and just knowing that she took so much time to plan something for me and the baby was beyond words. It was also great to see friends and to receive some really wonderful gifts for our baby girl.

5) I am thankful for my job, my co-workers, and my students. This year really has been a good year.

6) I am thankful for my amazing husband who works so hard, always makes me laugh, and is so sweet with the baby (even now). I can't wait to see him hold her!

7) I am thankful we will see our families during Christmas vacation. I'm already counting down the days!

There are many more, of course, but seven is a good number. I'm going to try to post a few photos of our recent trip.

Here's the fam - posing for a photo in a cornfield.
Opening gifts - love the look on Trevor's face.
Shower decorations
This is the bassinet my mother and her siblings slept in, then Molly and I. Soon Baby Schubert will sleep in it, too! Hard to believe!
Wonderful "Pumpkin - Themed" food for the shower.

This is me, totally in shock as I walked into the baby shower.
